A Library of Stories | New England Family Portraits + Films

Every life is a library of stories. Some stories are beach reads…easy, breezy. Other stories tug at the heart and are hard. But most stories have threads of survival, hope, and love in common. Almost every story is about love because it’s the thing we’re created for.

This talented photographer wrote, “Six years ago I went through a divorce and my two girls and I (who were then four and six) moved into a new home to live together. We called it the ‘girl house’. We’ve had bad days and we’ve had the best days, but we’ve always had each other. I’ve had an ache in my heart for a few years to capture this time together with the three of us.

Yes, please. When can I come?

When stories like this find me, I jump out of my seat. My cameras crave commemoration. I see meaning in your everyday…even in the hard things that brought you to today. I want to celebrate the ways they’ve shaped your family and made you stronger and drawn you closer. We don’t need to focus on where you’ve been—I’m here to look for the light above those clouds. I want your film to be a celebration of where you ARE and where you’re going as a family.

I loved every minute with this courageous mama and her tender-hearted girls.

Together they have built a house on a firm foundation of love.

What is your library of stories like? It would be my absolute pleasure to help you chronicle your beautiful tale.
